There are a lot of wrinkles that can be thrown into this concept to make it more varied. Usually that is done by switching up the crossing route, but one of my favorites is faking the drags, then reversing. It can catch the defense in a switch, or drag them out of the middle

The "classic" Mesh - as I think of it, anyway - is made up of two dueling drag routes, a crossing route that breaks over the mesh point of those drags, a vertical route on the outside and a flat route under the vertical route.
